Business Transformation Specialist

Our client a major medical device multinational is currently looking for a for a Business Transformation Specialist to join their team. The role reports to Business Transformation Lead and position would be responsible for implementation of various projects across the business unit. They are looking for someone with 3-5 years’ experience in implementing operational excellence projects. This critical role will be a leadership role in the development, direction, & implementation of the Business Transformation strategy that will deliver Best in Class performance through a highly engaged workforce. The vision for the role is that the successful candidate would be groomed as a successor to the Business Transformation Lead and play a leading role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and achieving sustainable high standards of manufacturing and supply chain performance. This is an opportunity to work as a leader & change agent in a large multi-national medical device company with a strong history in continuous improvement.

Role/Responsibility:

Providing strategic direction to the Value Stream Manager on how their businesses can transform in the 3-5 year time horizon, physically, organizationally and culturally.
Coaching the Value Stream team and support functions on the core Operational Excellence systems and improving people capabilities.
Leading & delivering both transformational and optimization projects for the Value Streams and support functions you are partnered with.
Facilitating large groups through complex problem solving sessions.
Facilitating the creation of roadmaps for improvement.
Leading & shaping the transformation journey for the site.
This role will be responsible for the Business Transformation of a number of Value Streams on site. This entails facilitating the creation of a 3-5 year road map and refreshing it yearly.
Coaching & mentoring people at all levels of the organisations including the Site Leadership team.
Delivering improvements on an annual basis for the areas of the business you are responsible for.

Skills/Experience

Possess a strong strategic vision and a willingness to be hands-on in all aspects of global manufacturing and supply chain operations,
Masters qualification or equivalent in Lean or Continuous Improvement and have demonstrable experience in leading large change efforts from concept to execution
Extensive knowledge and application of Lean principles, tools, and methodologies
Strong leadership and influencing skills, ideally with people management experience and experience leading large change efforts
Self-motivated
Innovative and Systems thinker
Effective problem solving abilities
Facilitation skills to drive group participation and handle conflicts
Effective presentation and communication abilities
Flexible approach to work
Process focused and results driven
