Hospital Sales Specialist
Our client, a global medical device organisation, requires a Hospital Sales Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis. The territory covered in this sales role is the Republic of Ireland. You will be responsible for selling into the hospital environment and your key areas of focus will be Laboratory, Phlebotomy, Occupational Health, Infection Control and Procurement.

• Deliver quarterly and annual territory targets in line with budget expectations for the financial year
• Focus on sustainable sales growth for territory and region by understanding and working within revenue expectations guidelines
• Understand customer goals & drivers to build strong and mutually beneficial relationships
• Proactively develop and implement territory plans for sustainable, long term sales success
• Follow account management plan by area growth, to focus on agreed focus accounts
• Effectively manage account priorities to position, sell & implement Added Value Services, where this offering will maximise sales opportunity
• Effective delivery of Value Add Programmes (laboratory services, training & education)
• Conduct and manage product trials & in-service process as part of account conversion, with support from Clinical Manager where appropriate
• Work effectively with the Regional Sales Manager, Clinical, & Marketing team to maximise business potential
• Achieves standards, expectations and performance as agreed with manager
• Communication of market and competitor information
• Contribute to compelling business case development with Regional Sales Manager and the Management Team
• Develop efficient and effective call planning to maximise use of time
• Effectively use agreed business reporting tools and comply with expected standards
• Represent the organisation in a professional manner on all occasions. take ownership of local customer complaints and queries, ensuring they are handled in a timely and professional manner.
• Where appropriate forward customer enquiries to other divisions
• Attend meetings, conferences, and exhibitions to promote both company image and selected range of products
• Build business relationships with relevant key opinion leaders

• A certificate/degree in a relevant discipline is preferable
• Understanding of sales data – skills to interpret sales trends, handle collection, collation and use of data to assist in account and territory analysis/planning
• Can quickly assimilate complex information and present ideas in a simple effective way
Competency in PC Skills – use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and specified software
• Ability to identify business opportunities in relation to growth and retention strategies
• Ability to work autonomously, and be capable of independently generating, prioritising and handling own work
• Adapt business s to build effective customer rapport and relationships
• Take a positive team player approach (colleagues, commercial partners, etc)
• Has ideally completed selling skills training course and has an ability to practically demonstrate products and their application
• Communication skills – verbal and non-verbal to a high standard
• Organisation skills – use of resource in order to maximise return on sales time and materials
• Negotiation and influencing skills – i.e. communication, listening, persuasion
• Exhibits good decision making skills and sound judgement
• Proven track record in sales
• Has a passion for selling and a strong desire to succeed (Proven sales success track record)
• Self-motivated with the drive to achieve territory targets
• Committed to professional self-development and positively adopts a continuous learning approach and applies learning’s proactively
