Information Systems Manager

JOB PURPOSE
The Information Systems Manager is a crucial role to play in the company to ensure that all Information Systems projects are introduced successfully within the established deadlines, on budget and in compliance with the relevant regulatory guidelines.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
IS Project Management
• To organise and coordinate the introduction of major software projects.
• To schedule the various phases of the project based on the resources allocated to the project and in line with the project deadline and budget.
• To manage the activities (work plans, TMS, holiday requests etc) of the personnel allocated to the project in addition to direct reports.
• To prepare, review and implement documentation and procedures to ensure that all GMP relevant software projects are implemented in line with GAMP 5 and EU GMP Annex 11 guidelines.
• To participate in the site change control system ensuring that all major software projects are documented and introduced in a formalised manner and that all changes are effectively assessed to current business processes.
• To feedback progress on the various ongoing software projects to the Technical Manager.

Other functional responsibilities
• To record any deviations relating to the role out of the major software projects through the plant Process Deviation System.
• To participate in any site project teams if required.
• To ensure that all the necessary documentation required for the project is prepared and approved according to company requirements.
• To participate in all training and assessment activities related to the role.
• To adhere fully to all safety policies, procedures and regulations issued

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills:
• A relevant 3rd level qualification (Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering).
• Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a similar environment.
• Provide strategic solutions to issues while ensuring the requirements of all stakeholders are considered.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and exposure to MES systems is required.
• Relevant project management experience with systems implementations / change management including definition and specification of business requirements and user acceptance testing.
• Experience in the manufacturing environment with pharmaceutical industry is an advantage.
• The ability to organise, plan and execute multiple tasks to tight schedules.

Additional Skills
• Experience with leading cross functional teams is desirable.
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities is required.
• Good communication skills combined with an imaginative and creative approach to problem solving.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to work in cross-functional team environments, as well as independently.
