Moulding Manager

Our client a multinational Lifescience company currently seeks a Moulding Manager to manager a team of 12-15 technicians and engineers. The Moulding Manager leads the Moulding Engineering Group on site and is the Site SME on Moulding Engineering issues and provides leadership and guidance from a strategic and technical stand point.


Providing leadership and technical support to operations in support of two key value streams for Arthritic and Parkinson’s treatment and also on future key strategic projects.
Leading a team of Engineers to generate project charters and deliver projects against agreed milestones.
Managing the metrology function to deliver and maintain robust measurement processes for all moulded parts.
Managing the Engineering validation function to ensure GURS, PURS, DQ, DR, SAT, FAT and Engineering report documentation are completed as per project requirements.
Technical decision making and project planning for new mould tools and processes.
Data capture and Statistical analysis of moulding processes and dimensions.
Leading and supporting moulded part product development and improvement projects.
Partnering with customers, suppliers and internal cross-functional teams to understand and deliver technical solutions for operations and new products/projects.
Coordinating technical teams on IQ, OQ, PQ validations for new products/processes and changes.
Ensuring projects are delivered on-time and within budget according to business requirements.
Regular progress reporting to senior management.
Ensuring compliance with all Quality, Regulatory, GMP requirements and adherence to all policies and relevant legislation.
Identification and coordination of improvement projects to deliver product quality and efficiency improvements in injection moulding, metrology and engineering validation processes.


A relevant third level qualification to degree level in engineering.(Polymer Qualification distinct advantage)
Minimum 7 years’ experience in the medical device or related industry desired
5 years in a people management or similar role an advantage
Demonstrated knowledge of moulding and polymer processes and technologies - Injection Moulding design/development
Knowledge of mould tooling build and design
Strong analytical problem solving skills; statistics knowledge/experience would be advantageous.
Previous project/process management, product technology transfer /NPI and validation experience is desirable
Results driven with proven ability to prioritize work
Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
