A Procurement Manager with significant experience gained within the Pharmaceuticals sector is required to join one of the world’s leading Biotechnology companies. This is an opportunity to join a business that is fully focused on making a difference to customers. Based in Dublin this is a Key Leadership role where you will be expected to be the subject matter expert that manages and improves all aspects of the site’s procurement processes. Partnering with Global Sourcing, Supplier Quality Assurance, Finance and Supply Chain you will ensure a reliable supply of direct and indirect materials.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the procurement team to execute sourcing strategy to achieve sustainable cost reduction & service improvements whilst ensuring a dependable supply of raw materials
  • Develop and implement improvement processes to ensure that all purchases are executed in line with the Global Procurement Policies and the Master Production Schedule
  • Lead the management of vendor relationships and implement corrective action to ensure dependable supply where necessary in addition to continually improving cost, quality and services performance of the vendor base
  • Take responsibility for contract negotiation, administration and optimization, monitoring vendor performance versus the contract service levels

What you have:
  • At least 5 years Procurement experience gained within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical sector
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence internally and externally at all levels
  • A strong negotiator with proven understanding of legal agreements

What you need:
  • The ideal candidate will hold a Doctorate degree, or a Master’s degree and 3 years of directly related experience


  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of directly related experience or Associate’s degree and 10 years of directly related experience

It is preferred that you will have IIPMM, CPIM or APICs certification
