Quality Assurance Officer
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Assurance Officer will provide support with document control, internal audits, intranet updates, and maintain the Quality Management Systems.

Responsibilities
• Support to the Quality Manager in maintaining and reporting on the quality management system to achieve the overall strategic objectives, performance and quality targets of the departments
• Provide support to all departments in implementing and maintaining QMS
• Manage a co-ordinated and controlled implementation of new and revised quality documentation
• Apply process management principles to support implementation of new processes
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiencies and streamline processes
• Produce reports to monitor progress against implementation plans
• Participate in training of staff in the requirements of the quality system
• Record training on quality documents accurately and promptly
• Provide advice and support to departments for new documents and revisions, including drafting, formatting and review as necessary
• Manage the timelines for completion of documents
• Review quality system documents for completeness and compliance with house ss before approval and publication to intranet
• Deliver formal and ad hoc training to staff in the organisation on document control, preparing for internal audits and root cause analysis tools
• Participate in internal audits
• Ensure tracking logs are up-to-date at all times
• Write audit reports (as appropriate to audit role)
• Manage follow-up and close-out of non-conformances
• Assist in the preparation and follow-up of external audits
• Contribute towards the development of meeting documentation and work plan proposals
• Represent the organisation at specific meetings

Requirements
• A primary degree in a relevant discipline
• Further study/qualification in the subject of quality management systems would be desirable
• A minimum of two years relevant experience in a similar role including
• Experience working on an organisation-wide quality management system
• Experience of process improvement initiatives
• Performance of internal audits
• Excellent computer skills, with proficient knowledge of advanced Word and Excel are essential
• Excellent communication, presentation, report writing and interpersonal skills are essential for this role
• Initiative and problem-solving abilities
• Proven ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical devices industry would be beneficial
