Senior EHS Engineer
Our client a medical device manufacturer requires a Senior EHS Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. As the Senior EHS Engineer you will develop and maintain the policies and procedures for the general operation of compliance programmes. The successful candidate will work closely with Operational area managers and supervisors to develop and implement EHS programmes.

Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the general operation of EHS Compliance programmes and related activities
• Provide EHS technical support for safe design, development and implementation of new facilities and processes
• Work closely with the business to develop and implement EHS programmes to meet corporate EHS Goals and Objectives
• Deliver site wide EHS&S training programmes
• Support the development of a culture of self-sufficiency on site from an EHS&S perspective, seeking opportunities for continuous development as well as leaner and innovative EHS&S practices
• Coordinate the site industrial hygiene programme and maintain employee exposure records

Requirements
• BSc degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline
• Third level qualification or Diploma in Health and Safety
• Demonstrable experience and fully conversant with EHS Legislation and best practice
• Previous exposure of working within the medical devices industry is preferred
• Technical experience within diverse EHS&S areas such as electrical, mechanical (and machine safety), processes and chemical safety, new product and process introductions.
• Strong team player
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
