Veterinary Assessment Manager
Our Dublin based client are currently recruiting for a Veterinary Assessment Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Veterinary Sciences and will manage a team of Veterinary Assessors.

Responsibilities
• Manage and develop the Safety, Efficacy and Pharmacovigilance Assessment team and processes to lead on technical issues
• Carry out assessment of certain applications and to peer review those carried out by other members of the team
• Make recommendations for approval in relation to licensing of veterinary medicines
• Manage the overall performance of the Veterinary Assessment team by defining objectives, setting targets, coordinating activities, agreeing priorities, developing team members, providing technical advice, contributing to the assessments conducted; maintaining effective communication lines and ensuring that the required standards, policies and practices are in place
• Ensure the delivery of service which meets best international practice both for scientific robustness and customer service
• Provide leadership, motivation, encouragement and effective management for all staff and ensures development and maintenance of a positive working environment
• Ensure appropriate levels of communication, integrated planning of resources, achievement of joint objectives and development of an overall strategy for the department

Requirements
• Degree in Veterinary Medicine or other relevant scientific life-science discipline
• Substantial experience in preparing and peer-reviewing scientific reports relating to the evaluation of the benefit/risk of veterinary medicinal products, or biocidal or pesticidal products
• Recent experience in the management of a multi-disciplinary team
• Familiarity with the relevant EU and national legislation relating to the regulation of veterinary medicinal products
