Automation Engineer required for a contract role with a Dublin based Pharmaceutical facility.

We’re currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with a global health care company. This is an excellent position for anyone who is looking to join a leading multinational who are one of the best at what they do.

If you have prior experience with systems such as PLC, Keptware, Pas X and VB6, then this could be the right role for you!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Design, Test and implement HMI and SCADA systems
  • Design and Program PLC Control Systems
  • Fault-Find Complex automation equipment
  • Develop, debug and validate Control System software programs
  • Analyse, understand, fault-find and modify software programs written by other developers.
  • Preparation and review of Design Documentation, Tender Documents and URS documents as required for the purpose of purchasing new equipment or services.
  • Generate, review and approval of all Project Documentation (Risk Assessment, Scope, Hand Over etc), Validation Documentation (FAT, IQ-OQ etc), Trial Reports and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Develop End user manuals (SOPs and Training Aids) and provide training on new equipment / process functionality.
  • Perform technical review of updates to SOPs related to the equipment / process

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years Working with Automated Control Systems and working in a GMP Environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years Working in a Validated environment with strong discipline with regard to change control
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills particularly when working to tight schedules
