Automation Project Manager

This role will be based in Galway and any applicant must have a valid work permit/ visa. (Stamp 4 Visa or EU passport) .You must have an excellent work ethic and flexible attitude to apply for this role.

Within this role, you will join a highly skilled group of project engineers specialising in machine
design, automation and project management. The successful candidate will be responsible for the
managing of project from procurement right through to the equipment delivery.
Our client is looking for an ambitious person capable of thriving in a hardworking environment
with strong mechanical design and project management attributes.

The role will involve the successful candidate carrying out the following responsibilities:
·Build long term relationships with our customers and understand their manufacturing
processes and challenges.
·Discuss projects with our mechanical, electrical, systems and build departments to ensure the projects are a suitable fit.
·Develop a concept design with a detailed and competitive proposal.
·Develop project plan, objectives, delivery schedule and manage project performance and
Budget.
·Lead the project team through all stages of the project life cycle in a professional manner.
·Identify potential risks, mitigate impact to project and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
·Design and development of requested equipment to customer requirements and expectations.
Requirements:
·Minimum of FETAC Level 7 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
·Proven track record in managing projects, from start to finish. This includes initial meeting with customer, creation of project proposal and associated costs, right through to the input of the new product onsite.
·Experience in machine design/manufacturing processes and exposure to automated control
systems will be a distinct advantage
·A working knowledge in the use of 3D CAD design packages is an advantage
·A basic understanding of PLC programming and systems communications is an advantage
·Successful history of delivering custom equipment from concept to equipment delivery.

·Self-motivated with a view to continuous personal development
·Excellent technical knowledge with a focus on new and emerging technologies
·Ability to travel and a Full driving licence is required.
