A Contract Management Associate or Senior Associate is required to join a leading global pharmaceutical business based in Cork. This is a permanent role with 50% hybrid working. This is an opportunity to join a vibrant multi-cultural and multi-lingual team where you will play your part in making a difference for people the world over by supporting the business as it discovers, develops, and delivers medicines that help people live longer, healthier and more active lives. As part of Global Procurement, the Contract Management Associate assists with the drafting, review and negotiation of contracts.

The Role

  • Responsible for managing the contract process including drafting, negotiation and maintenance of master agreements, single project agreements, amendments, and other agreements to meet timelines and elevate productivity.
  • Partner with the Category Owner/Sourcing Lead to understand contractual objective, participate in hand-off meetings, and incorporate commercial terms as provided by the Category Owner/Sourcing Lead.
  • Manage the contract lifecycle to meet timelines; keep the Category Owner/Sourcing Lead informed of deadlines or potential impediments.
  • Review revised contract language for all contracts, addenda, and other contract forms and recommend contract modifications as needed.
  • Propose contracting playbook improvements to speed contract drafting and review practices.
The Person
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 2 years’ work experience that clearly demonstrates contract drafting and/or legal experience.
  • Proficient in drafting contracts in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated strong written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Legal professional degree (e.g. paralegal certificate) is preferred
  • Familiar with regulations such as GDPR, Privacy, Information Security, and Anti-Corruption.
