The purpose of this role is to develop best-practice strategies, provide governance, and implement the company’s environmental, health & safety program as well as the company’s sustainability program.

Principal Accountabilities

• Develop, implement and monitor the Health and Safety strategy across the business
• Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture that actively promoteshealth and safety
• Evaluatepractices, procedures and facilities to assess risk anddrive ongoing improvement
• Measure and report the company’s sustainability performance, including Water, Gas and Electricity usage
• Define opportunities for Energy Usgae reductionand work withthe Operations and FinanceTeamsto deliver same
• Educate and inform business on required changes andprepare for their implact
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the HSA
• Manage all aspects of the site’s compliance with it's EPA License.
• Liaise with external bodies such as EPA, Irish Water.
• Follow all regulatory reporting requirements
• Submit permit applications andrequiredrenewals
• Implement internal policies to support employee health and safety and environmental regulations
• Manage waste recycling and disposal
• Define and deliver internal environmental and health and safety training (Company Induction, Toolbox Talks).
• Monitor the effluent treatment plant and EPA licence related sampling.
• Build and maintain a strong and collaborative team working toward the same goal
• Empower team members withkeyskills to improve technical & environmental knowledge.
• Set clear goals and conductannualperformance reviews.

Interested applicants should have
• Degree in Environmental Science, Health and Safety, Science, Engineering, or similar
• Experience with IPPC licencing requirements essential
• Manufacturing experience infoodindustry strongly preferred
• At least 2 years' people management experience
