We’re currently recruiting for an exciting Environmental Officer opportunity based in Kerry. A part time or full time set up will be considered for the right candidate along with an excellent hybrid working model.

Duties

  • To maintain stations environmental management system, ensure the scheduling, completion, and reporting of environmental audits; liaise with external certification body; complete Management Review meetings and document; identify and maintain documentary requirements of ISO 14001.
  • Ensure that the station complies with the conditions of its IEL including regulatory reporting; record and compile necessary information to that end.
  • Assist the stations responsible person for environmental compliance and performance.
  • Liaise with relevant external parties including the Environmental Protection Agency, MCERTS and CEMS certification bodies and contractors.
  • Management of waste on-site, including the maintenance of required records.
  • Management of contractors to complete environmental related projects and to ensure environmental compliance.
  • Provide environmental support tostationpersonnel with information/advice/guidance on the requirements of the sites IEL, ISO 14001, MCERTS, CEMS and other site emission control systems.

Education & Experience
  • Educated to Level 7 /8 or equivalent in a relevant Environmental, Engineering or Science Discipline.
  • 2 - 5 years post graduate experience in an Environmental role in an EPA Licenced Process Industry Situation.
  • Knowledge of requirements of ISO 14001 and environmental legislation.
  • Knowledge of emissions compliance requirements as per LCPD, IED, BAT Conclusions and EU ETS, CEMS, MCERTS and their compliance regimes and standards.
