Junior Shift Technician
Duties:
·Working with the Shift Supervisors to start and stop machines and troubleshoot processing problems to
maximize and maintain machine up time.
·Assist on tool setups as required on a shift basis.
·Carry out A services on all machines and tools on a daily schedule.
·Carry out daily or pre-scheduled servicing on material feed system.
·Provide cover for Shift Supervisor as appropriate and required.
·Carry out unscheduled tool changes and removal of tools as required.
·Support the successful delivery of key technical projects.
·Assist the introduction and validation of new tooling as required.
·Assist the transfer of new moulds into production as required.
·Assisting in validations and documentation for same where required.
·Maintain housekeeping and machine cleaning procedures. Assist in machine deep cleans.
·Liaise with internal toolmakers and internal maintenance and assist where required providing information on tooling and machine issues.
·Understand and safely operate all equipment; report and/or correct unsafe working conditions. Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures on site
·Ongoing process improvement updates. Troubleshooting on all equipment to ensure minimum downtime.
·Support Quality department to investigate open CAPA’s, NCI’s and NCR’s. Support the closing out of same.
·Regularly update and input information on IQMS (ERP System). Record downtime, scrap and other information as required.
·Be flexible in relation to working hours and support the business when required on a callout basis. Ensure timekeeping and punctuality.
The ideal candidate will have:
The ideal candidate will be able to work on a four-cycle shift basis, to include nights and weekends. (7 shifts over 14 days- every second weekend off)
·The individual will have knowledge of the mechanical and electronic systems associated with high volume manufacturing; hold a relevant qualification in one of those disciplines and/or have additional specialised
training and industrial experience.
·The individual will have good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Any applicant must be eligible to work in Ireland. Existing work permit (Stamp 4) or EU passport required.
