Manufacturing Engineer

Our Galway based client is an expanding medical device company, who is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer. The role will support the production requirements of their device into a rapidly growing market. It offers the opportunity to experience the full manufacturing life cycle, with the addition of playing a pivotal role in the expansion of their existing assembly line and the establishment of their new assembly line.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Managing and providing technical and QA line support to the assembly line
  • Supplier and inventory management
  • Assisting in component/product disposition for clinical release
  • Delivering on yield and cost improvement projects
  • Assisting in the set up a new product line and development of manufacturing/inspection processes
  • Assisting process validation activities (TMV’s, gauge, R&R’s, IQ, OQ, PQ)
  • Participating in the coordination of shipping and distribution of clinical products to customers
  • Continuous improvement and risk analysis/identification activities

Skills/Experience:

  • Honours/master’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Biomedical Engineering
  • 1-2 years industry experience in medical device sector preferred
  • Display strong technical aptitude
  • Excellent understanding of fundamental engineering principles
  • Motivated individual who displays both a strong work ethic and a good attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally, with the added ability to communicate across functions
  • Demonstrate the technical ability to solve problems
