We’re currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with an award-winning Medical Device organization based in Dublin. This is an excellent position for anyone who is looking to join a leading multinational who are one of the best at what they do.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Root cause analysis of engineering problems.
  • Define and review tolerance stack-up analysis for complex mechanical assemblies
  • Establish and execute test protocols for characterization and verification testing
  • Develop innovative solutions to engineering problems
  • Construct prototypes; evaluate and document their performance; identify possible improvements
  • Specify, design and evaluate mechanical and electromechanical solutions to problems
  • Explore new and existing materials and methods to solve engineering challenges
  • Capability to understand structural and thermal analyses of components and assemblies
  • Create and implement suitable tests to verify designs meet mechanical requirements
  • Utilize CAD engineering software to create, modify and analyse mechanical components
  • Collaborate with vendors to produce mechanical components and assemblies
  • Review and approve engineering drawings, test plans, and technical reports
  • Lead in the creation and release of Product Requirements, Design Specifications, and Design Descriptions for assigned projects ensuring applicable standards and procedures are adhered to.
  • Adhere to design control and risk management policies.


Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years related engineering experience, 3 of which are in medical device design
  • Experience in development of complex moulded components.
  • Hands-on experience constructing mechanical prototypes utilizing rapid-prototyping methods and equipment
  • Experienced with Solid works or similar CAD package
  • Is a self-starter, can manage multiple tasks, and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet)
