Our client has recently opened an exciting opportunity for an energetic, clever and commercially oriented candidate, seeking to break into and build a long-term sales and marketing career within the medical devices sector.

Territory:Cork/Munster

This role will be of interest to self-starter individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset. The successful candidate will be a fast learner and natural presenter who relishes the opportunity to process and effectively convey highly technical information in an engaging way. The product specialist will meet challenges with a solution-seeking mindset and will not allow setbacks to deter them from their goals.

Role/Responsibilities:
  • Setting and achieving business development goals and sales targets
  • Promoting surgical devices and healthcare solutions to medical professionals
  • Seeking, acquiring and updating the company on insights regarding your territory, customers, business opportunities, competitor activity and market developments.
  • Developing a strong customer relationship network built on trust and credibility

Education/Qualifications:
  • All candidates must hold a third level qualification (minimum: NFQ Level 8, Honours bachelor’s degree) and preferably come with 3+ years’ experience from the following backgrounds:
  1. Healthcare (coming from a healthcare background is an advantage, but not essential as training is provided).
  2. Business (B2B Sales/Marketing, Finance/Accounting, Commerce); Engineering (Biomedical, Biochemical).
  3. Science (R&D, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Mathematical, Biology)
  • Full, clean Irish drivers licence essential.
  • Previous Medical Device Sales experience is a distinct advantage
  • Surgical Sales experience a distinct advantage but not essential
