The Manufacturing Process Technician is primarily responsible for administration of the day to day demand and preventative maintenance system for on-site production equipment.

He / She is also responsible for day to day monitoring of production performance, leading and developing their employees and being accountable for the performance and actions of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose/fault-finding of any maintenance issues and provide solutions to remedy the problem.
  • Ensure that all maintenance records are correctly completed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Identify and recommend improvement to equipment and systems to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure timely completion of training records/status to ensure compliance with the ISO training system.
  • Lead and support Continuous Improvement (CI) Initiatives whilst providing encouragement, motivation and support to team members.
  • Manage and coordinate holidays and overtime arrangements.; manage sickness absence in a timely manner including conducting return to work interviews, monitoring of absence levels, escalating any concerns to Manager.
  • Ensure adherence to 6S in the Operation areas ensuring the department conducts its business in a manner designed to be productive and protective of human health, safety and the environment.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and performing other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:
  • Third level qualification or trade certificate in an Engineering/ Science / Manufacturing discipline.
  • Technical experience in mechanical, electrical, controls engineering, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Work experience in an engineering / Manufacturing environment preferred.
