Quality Assurance Assistant
Location: West Cork

Responsibilities

  • Implementation and Monitoring of Quality and Food Safety procedures on the factory floor in line with Quality and HACCP Systems in place.
  • Updating procedures and other documentation .
  • Implementation and monitoring of Food Safety Culture protocols
  • Managing non-conformance reports along with associated corrective and preventative actions.
  • Training staff in hygiene, quality, culture, and HACCP in accordance with Food Hygiene legislation.
  • Dealing with customer complaints and liaising with customers on a regular basis
  • Ensuring full traceability across the supply chain
  • Communication of Quality or Technical issues too site management
  • Research and development of possible opportunities for the improvement of Quality.
  • Carrying out in house quality checks, internal audits along with the quality team and other departments.
  • Assisting the Quality manager with customer, Accreditation, and regulatory audits.
  • Carry out GMP Audits
  • Writing and implementing product

Experience
  • Degree in a Food Science or related discipline
  • 1-2 Years’ experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of BRC Global Standard for Food Safety and the Bord Bia FPS Standard.
