We’re currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with an award-winning Pharmaceutical organization based in Cork. This is an excellent position for anyone who is looking to join a leading multinational who are one of the best at what they do.


Duties

• Supervises QC personnel including organizing and prioritizing daily tasks, coordinating training to maintain team agility. Supporting development plans and writing performance reviews

• Acts as advisor and mentor to QC team

• Reviews data and results of testing to ensure compliance to appropriate specifications and protocols.

• Supports flow of product through the lab and the wider value stream. Conducts final reviews, batch releases and certification as per defined guidelines

• Attends x-functional meetings supporting delivery across the commercial workstream

• Exercises judgment within well-defined and established procedures and practices to determine appropriate action - identifies problems and generates alternatives and recommendations within defined processes.

• Coordinates planning, organization, and implementation of projects within specified objectives.

• Leads and coordinates reviews and investigations in situations involving deviations from governing procedures and processes

• Leads and supports Continuous improvement initiatives


Education & Experience:

• This is a position requiring sound knowledge of quality control systems, technical methods across a broad range of chromatography and analytical techniques such as CE-SDS, UPLC, CIEF and UV analysis

• Must be able to apply knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) on a daily basis.

• Audit and Investigation report writing skills

• Typically requires a BSc degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field and a good level of relevant experience.
