R&D Science and Innovation Leader

NHL/AXYT-716075

You will lead a dedicated team of scientists to design and conduct applied research in the area of vision science and photochromic technology. The focus being on testing and validate the requirements of new technologies and products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Science and Innovation Team in the R&D department.
  • Define, design and overview the execution of applied research in the area of vision science and photochromic technology, including but not only in-lab experiments and in-house studies.
  • Contribute to the definition of goals, objectives and protocol of clinical studies.
  • Contribute to the cross-functional definition of the Innovation Roadmap.
  • Lead the identification, analysis and translation of the latest innovations in the ophthalmic/optical sector into business-oriented insights.
Key Requirements:
  • Master Degree in Physics or similar technical field with a minimum of 5 years industry experience.
  • Experience leading R&D teams to identify high-potential technologies and translate theoretical concepts into new products.
  • Experience defining and managing R&D studies both internally and with external partners.
  • Experience processing data from R&D studies and extracting the key insights to feed into product definition.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Experience writing patent applications.
Desirable:
  • PhD in Vision Science, Visual Optics or similar field.
  • Industry experience in the ophthalmic/optical sector.
  • Experience with Design Control for New Product Development.
