Do you have the scientific expertise required to check the acceptability of applications for Certification of Suitability to the monographs of the European Pharmacopoeia (CEP) on receipt, to critically review data according to ICH, EU and EDQM guidelines, to prepare evaluation reports or provide technical support to the EDQM inspection programme of manufacturers of active substances? The main responsibilities of the job:


As a scientific assistant, you will undertake scientific evaluation of requests for CEP revisions, contribute to the validation of CEP applications on receipt, and prepare CEPs or provide technical support to the EDQM inspection programme of manufacturers of active pharmaceutical substances.


What we look for in someone to undertake this role effectively:


  • a higher education degree or qualification in a relevant area (for example: pharmacy, chemistry, biochemistry, food science);
  • a short (minimum 6 months and maximum 5 years) relevant professional experience. Please consult the vacancy notice for more details;
  • knowledge of the European regulatory requirements in the field of pharmaceuticals;
  • a very good knowledge of one of the Council of Europe’s official languages (English) and basic knowledge of the other (French).
