An exceptional global procurement professional is required to lead a newly created Procurement Centre of Excellence. As a Subject Matter expert in world class procurement strategy you will hire, lead, coach and develop talent in Procurement Center of Excellence. This is a real opportunity to shape and implement leading edge world class procurement tools, processes and systems.

Key Focus

  • Set best practices policies and standards in alignment with new developments in industry and taking steps to ensure that the company is implementing such practices where appropriate.
  • Define realistic and measurable, time-bound goals for the COE, and review current tracking systems and reporting to ensure metrics are manageable and tell the story of a value-driven sourcing and procurement COE.
  • Develop guidelines, policies, and standards for company-wide sourcing activities
  • Develop common supplier scorecards and supporting processes that monitor and report supplier performance in meeting business unit needs
  • Develop and maintain knowledge management across the procurement organization
  • Execute continuous improvements on processes, tools, analytics and talent development
  • Apply best-in-class spend analytics to manage spend throughout procurement organization
  • Monitor savings and define budget impacts. Responsible for all cost benefit tracking and reporting as well as pipeline management, ensuring that all opportunities are accurate and included in the pipeline.
  • Coordinate the annual savings forecast rollup with the Category Managers and Businesses

The Person

  • 10+ years of global procurement strategy experience gained within a leading management consultancy or within an internal procurement consulting role within a multi-national
  • Degree qualified and ideally with an MBA
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Outstanding people leadership and management skills Superior communication skills
  • Strong organization building skills, including the ability to attract and develop new talent and to develop linkages with the company’s different divisions and functions
  • Experience in working internationally and ability to interact with different cultures and markets.
  • Experience / familiarity with Procurement module design/development of major ERP systems and other procurement tools
