We’re currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with an award-winning medical device organization based in Limerick. This is an excellent position for anyone who is looking to join a leading multinational who are one of the best at what they do.

Project Manager for IPA Recovery Project: Lead and coordinate multi-departmental and multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement a new Solvent recovery process in a high volume med device manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities.

  • Development and approval of a Specification for Recovered Solvent.
  • This will require engagement from R&D, EHS, Quality, MSE, Supply Chain, Engineering, Facilities, External Manufacturing & supplier quality.
  • Support the development of the Recovery process to ensure adherence to all requirements in a regulated manufacturing industry.
  • Support/drive the development and implementation of the Validation plan for recovered Solvent. Ensuring engagement and support from all team members and stakeholder.
  • Interact closely with project group to meet project timelines.
  • Support Operation readiness ensuring timely handover of equipment to operations.
  • Key areas are (but no limited to) Material Testing, Material Tracking, LIMS set Up, QA & QC, External Supply, EHS, Training. Looking for a mix of Quality/Validation/Ops Readiness/New Product exp.
  • This will not be a new product as such, but is managing a significant change.
  • Change mgt is KEY.
  • Less about managing a new manufacturing capability and more about a new facilities capability - AWN/ waste water treatment etc.
  • Chemistry or process engineering understanding required.
  • Could take a program manager, will have a key team with 6/7 core people identified from each of the strands, needs to keep on top of these and hold to account.
  • Once install is complete, will need to work to develop new specs, understand what lab tests are required, needs to ensure the customer has no impact etc.
  • When validation process is complete, the running of the plant will be outsourced, so will also be working on vendor agreements etc to ensure this is all pulled together correctly.
  • Experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate a multi-departmental and multi-disciplinary team in the development and implementation of a new solvent recovery process for a high volume med device manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and approving specifications for the recovered solvent, ensuring adherence to all requirements in a regulated manufacturing industry, and supporting the development and implementation of the validation plan for recovered solvent.

  • Develop and approve specifications for the recovered solvent, engaging with R&D, EHS, Quality, MSE, Supply Chain, Engineering, Facilities, External Manufacturing & supplier quality
  • Support the development of the recovery process to ensure adherence to all requirements in a regulated manufacturing industry

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in project management in a regulated manufacturing industry, with experience in solvent recovery preferred
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
  • Excellent communication, organization and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and guidelines, such as GMP, FDA, EPA, and OSHA
