Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

Our client a medical device multinational currently seeks a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team. The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer will ensure that suppliers and the finished products or materials they provide are in compliance with companies processes, engineering standards, good manufacturing practises and specifications and all relevant regulatory standards. They will establish and maintain quality relationship and work directly with suppliers and audit suppliers regularly for quality control and forward mitigation planning. The successful candidate will support all supplier quality activities and support key programs including the EU MDR 2017/745 program.


Role/Responsibilities:



• Reviewing and assessing supplier information in line with company requirements.


• Be proactive with respect to all product and process quality issues arising with suppliers.


• Identify key information required regarding the product supply chain


• Actively participate in and host meetings while coordinating with key Stakeholders such as RA and Procurement.


• Negotiating with suppliers with respect to quality agreements and MDR requirements.


• Experience in leading supplier audits is an advantage.


• Other duties that may be assigned as necessary.





Essential Skills / Experience:





• Relevant Engineering/Science qualification with a minimum of 5 -7 years’ experience of working in a medical device environment is required.


• Technical writing ability is an advantage. • Ability to problem solve using critical and technical analysis.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Previous experience working with suppliers. • Basic knowledge and working understanding of UDI requirements.


• Good attention to detail and accuracy.


• Ability to work well under strict deadlines and pressure.


• Skills that enable coordination of data, including MS-Office
