Job Description
We are looking for a Product/ System Architect with experience in the Automotive industry to join a team and lead/ support architecture design and develop Electronic Control Unit or Domain Controller Compute Platforms for products like Surround View System (SVS), Automated Parking System (APS), Automated Driving System (ADS), Central Gateways/ Controller System.
The ideal candidate is someone who can work independently, thrives under pressure and is committed to an exceptional level of delivery standards. You will join a newly established Engineering Research and Development Practice working on key projects and helping a company to grow the team.
The Platform System Architect is responsible for system architecture design and development of the overall system solutions and technologies in line with platform standards, market demands, customer needs, deliverables and technology development roadmap.
You will actively participate in vision & fusion automotive ECU solutions from advanced or RFI/RFQ phases to SOP.
Ideal applicants must have the following:
- Degree Qualified in Electronics, Software Engineering or Science related discipline.
- Excellent client-facing skills.
- Keen understanding of process development, monitoring and improvement..
- People management skills - introducing and building ways in which people can learn from each other, encouraging mentoring and the transfer of knowledge by designing and delivering learning interventions.
- Team work and emotional intelligence.
- 3 or more years of Practical experience as a System Engineer, System Design Engineer, Product Development Engineer, System/ Hardware or Software Architect.
- Mechatronics product developmental experience - preferably within the ADAS/IVI automotive industry following ASPICE process and V-model Methodology.
- Vision/ fusion products and video/ data processing pipelines experience - e.g. understanding of video capture, transmission, processing, storage, compression by SoCs in different format and resolution specs.
- Multi-core SoC and MCUs architecture experience - in the context of key compute cores and peripherals as well as type and level of functionality (SW) to be hosted on each IP available.
- Multiple chip technologies experience or working knowledge - e.g. Memory (LPDDR3/4/5, NOR, NAND), Ethernet Phy/Switch, SerDes, Transceiver.
- Product/ System requirements elicitation experience with corresponding system/ product architecture documentations and presentations.
- Agile, proactive, confident, self-organised, energetic, adaptable team player.
- Software layers and components knowledge and exposure is a plus - e.g. BSP, HLOS, RTOS, Middleware, APIs.
- ADAS/IVI automotive industry experience is a plus, but open to assess candidates from defence, aerospace or consumer electronics industries developing vision products like cameras, set top boxes, TV's Displays.
- Direct relations with customers and suppliers is a plus.
- Automotive SPICE experience is an advantage.
