Value Stream Team Leader
Our client has been a world leading supplier of biosecurity & infection control products for the past 50 years. Their dedication to Innovation has been a driving force behind this success. With approx. 1,700 employees across 120 countries, they are committed to driving a significant health impact globally. They are saving lives by improving access to safe drinking water with innovative, cost-effective products. One of their main products is used to disinfect 30 billion litres of water annually.

They are currently seeking a Value Stream Team Leader to join an experienced production team in their manufacturing plant in Wexford. This is a full-time permanent Production Supervisory position on site in Wexford. The ideal person will have 5+ years production supervisory experience & strong people management & leadership qualities. The successful person shall report to the Head of Operations.

Role/responsibilities:

  • Supervision of employees within the Production Department, where leadership, direction, training and coaching are offered to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for maintaining excellent standards of housekeeping and health & safety, ensuring direct reports are trained to a high level and work accordingly.
  • Ensure production is carried out in accordance with GMP, ISO and all regulated bodies, participating in audits and inspections, proactively highlighting and addressing any issues around compliance.
  • Responsible for management of employee relations issues within the department, dealing with issues in a reasonable, fair and consistent manner, in conjunction with direction from the Head of Operations and/or HR Manager, including managing and implementing disciplinary actions for absenteeism, compliance, engagement, quality of work, where necessary.
  • Ensure production is carried out in a timely manner, adhering to production schedules, to meet customer demand and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Provide direct reports with leadership, direction, training and coaching to achieve work objectives and improve performance and skills.
  • Support and proactively engage in continuous improvement and problem-solving projects across the function, bringing a comprehensive knowledge of lean.
  • Accountable for compliance with batch record completion, risk assessments, H&S assessments, closing out corrective actions and all associated paperwork.
  • Prepare (i.e., inspect, verify condition) all equipment, in conjunction with the Maintenance Team, used in the manufacturing process prior to use to ensure efficient, clean and safe operation.
  • Ensure optimal use of resources at all times and deployment across the organisation as required.
  • Work to ensure the highest level of teamwork and cooperation with all colleagues.
Education/Experience:
  • 5 years plus experience in a production environment, in a supervisory role, with a proven track record.
  • Strong education and experience in continuous improvement, with a proven track record.
  • Strong management and decision-making skills, providing excellent people management and communication.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and apply good time management skills.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office packages, including operational data sheets.
