Project Manager
Our client, a global biologics organisation are currently recruiting for Project Manager to join their team, this is a one year fixed term contract. As Project Manager you will be a conduit between the customer and technical teams ensuring a seamless path to market for a wide range of products, including products for unmet medical needs. Reporting to Project Management Lead, you will be client facing and responsible for managing projects through initiation, planning, execution and close out, ensuring client contracts are adhered to, milestones are reached on time, and revenue is recognised. As Client Project Manager you will have excellent people and project management skills, planning and communication skills to manage client projects. You will be very customer focused and demonstrate excellent communication skills, including stakeholder and risk management, and demonstrate the ability to effectively interface with all levels across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Develop high level timelines and Gantt charts, manage changes and communication as required
- Work closely with internal functions to make sure the production readiness is fully on track, and the production/delivery schedule are consistent throughout the project
- Build and maintain a good and effective relationship with the clients
- Be client facing and support client visits
- Monitor the project scope
- Draft change orders to cover the out-of-scope works according to client’s need
- Recognise revenue with the client to fulfil the company’s financial target in a timely manner
- Establish internal project team and able to find resources to support the project schedule, including raw materials, manufacturing slot, subject matter experts, senior leaders etc.
- Lead multiple cross functional teams on site regarding the new projects introduction (NPI) and tech transfer. Using internal systems and working closely with scheduling and other support functions such as QC and QA
- Host project meetings as per pre-determined communication plan, internally and externally with relevant stakeholders, take meeting minutes, record and track the action items until they are fully closed
- Responsible for managing risks, work with technical functions to complete impact assessments and develop mitigation strategies and escalate to senior leaderships as necessary
- Coordinate project communications and documentation as necessary ensuring relevant stakeholders needs are met. In addition, ensure strong documentation and traceability is managed accordingly
- Build and establish effective relationships in order to elicit information from key individuals internally and externally
Requirements
- B.Eng or B.Sc in Chemical, Biology, Process engineering or equivalent
- A qualification in project management is preferred (PMP, Prince2 etc.)
- A postgraduate qualification in an engineering or science discipline would be advantageous
- Determined to drive the project forward, and to hit every critical milestones on time
- Very customer focused, going above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain the high standard
- Strong communicator with the ability to work well within a cross-functional team to achieve a common objective
- Problem-solving capability is a plus. Demonstrated capabilities in Kaizen PSP is preferred
- Flexible approach to work and a positive attitude will be a good fit within the team dynamic
- Flexible to take on additional tasks and responsibilities at the discretion of Project Management Lead to ensure the project schedule is not impacted
- Be collaborative and inclusive in your approach to work and your colleagues
- The capability of working in a highly diverse team in both culture and technical background is required
- Autonomous and a self-starter who will use their own initiative to drive actions forward
- Demonstrate strong ethics in adhering to company procedures and policies, regulatory standards, and our customers’ expectations
- Ability to manage conflict and negotiate challenging situations should they arise
- Potential for out of hours conference calls due to client locations globally
