Clinical /Quality Assurance Manager
Our client is a not-for-profit organisation providing care delivery to their service users in their own home in the North Dublin area. They are looking to expand their team by the addition of a Clinical/Quality Assurance Manager who will oversee the company’s Clinical & Quality policies by monitoring & instilling a high standard of quality service to be provided to their service-users. The ideal person shall be a registered Nurse with at least 2 years previous management experience of large teams. A management qualification would be desirable. This role will provide clinical leadership to the team of carers and care supervisors. The Clinical/ Quality Assurance Manager shall promote the concept of quality person-centred care to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of our clients service users.
Role/Responsibilities:
Clinical Responsibilities
- To provide clinical leadership to the team
- Maintain a working up to date knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (HIQA standards experience required)
- To ensure that all service users have an individual Care Needs Assessment conducted every 6 months or as needs change. A person-centred care plan will then be implemented to reflect specific needs of each service user and is agreed by the service user
- To ensure that risks are proactively identified, reported upon, and escalated appropriately
- To be involved with members of the local multi-disciplinary teams in the context of care to the service user and carer needs demand
- To consult with care supervisors daily to discuss any current issues and offer clinical advice as required
- To develop and promote a professional relationship with service users and their families
- To assist in the implementation and updates of company policies and procedures
- To effectively communicate with other members of the senior leadership team
- To take an active role in leading and developing standards of care by completing quarterly care standards audits with service users
- To maximise each service user’s capacity to exercise personal autonomy and choice
- To document and effectively deal with complaints
Qualifications/Experience:
- At least 5 years post registration experience with a minimum of 2 years in a management role
- Registered on the general division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland live register
- Management qualification desirable
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
- Sound decision making ability
- Ability to promote a team environment
- Computer skills essential
- Full current Irish driving licence as driving will be required
