An experienced Data Architect with strong leadership skills is required to join a leading Pharmaceutical Manufacturer in Co. Cork. As Data Architect you will be responsible for leading the site Data Analytics team and developing and implementing the site data strategy. The data architect has deep working knowledge of how data is or will be used and implications on people, processes, capabilities, and technologies including analytics and data integrations.

The Role

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the business processes. Use that knowledge and customer-centric approach to develop and implement an architecture and solutions to improve and support the business processes.
  • Develop a data strategy and roadmap working with business partners (including Process Engineers, Operations, Quality, and TS/MS) to identify digital transformation needs that will drive value.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts and engineers to drive the implementation of this roadmap.
  • Lead the data analytics team in the delivery of an architecture that continues to evolve and embrace the advantages of new technologies as they become available.
The Person
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical field
  • 7 plus years of experience in architecture design and implementation.
  • 5 plus years of experience in leading data projects and teams to deliver value.
  • Experience in strategic planning and aligning data projects with business goals and the ability to communicate that strategy vision clearly.
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of data analysts, engineers and scientists.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing complex data models.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java).
  • Experience with data integration tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry processes and familiarity with GMP regulations would be an advantage.
