Shift Technician

Location: Leixlip, Co. Kildare
Department: Production
Working Pattern: Full-time, 12-hour shifts (days & nights)

About the Role

We’re looking for a Shift Technician to join our Production team in Leixlip. This is a hands-on role where you’ll provide technical support on shift, troubleshoot equipment and help keep production running safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Start, stop and troubleshoot production machinery to minimise downtime.
  • Respond to day-to-day technical issues and support optimal machine performance.
  • Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of equipment.
  • Support production teams with technical issues and provide cover for the Shift Supervisor when required.
  • Follow all health, safety, quality and environmental procedures.
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Tooling and Operators.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Injection Moulding is an advantage.
  • Experience working in a GMP environment is desirable.
  • Ability to work a 4-cycle shift pattern, including days and nights.
  • A degree/qualification in Polymer Processing Engineering or a related discipline is desirable.
  • Good MS Office skills.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • A strong health & safety mindset and attention to detail.

This role involves working around machinery and in a busy manufacturing environment, so a willingness to work hands-on and follow all relevant safety procedures is essential.
