Clinical Sales Specialist (Histology)

Our client is a solely Irish owned company which was established in the 1990’s with the aim of providing top quality products and premium service to its customers.

In partnership with some of the leading manufacturers from across the world our clienthas established itself as one of Ireland's leading distributors of laboratory supplies and equipment to the Clinical, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Veterinary, University and Research industries.

Their productportfolio covers a wide range of Diagnostics including Microbiology, Autoimmune Serology, Clinical Chemistry, Immunoassay,withthe recentintroduction ofReal Time Molecular Diagnostics. Other product lines includeBlood Collection Systems, POC, Medical Devices, Liquid handling consumables andInstrumentation/Automation, Healthcare IT Systems, Consumables and Calibration/Validation Services.

Role:

The principal duties and responsibilities of the Clinical Sales Specialist (Histology) are to engage with both existing and new customers to develop robust sales opportunity pipelines to drive revenue growth in line with company goals & objectives.

Project a positive image of our client by interacting with customers, suppliers and colleagues in a professional, friendly and courteous manner at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Work independently, and as part of the Sales organisation team to support Clinical Diagnostic Instrumentation.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall profitability
  • Perform applications support and training.
  • Be client-focused and customer centric, working in conjunction with the Applications and Service teams to meet company goals and objectives.
  • Active participation in conferences, seminars and exhibitions.
  • This is a customer facing role so the candidate will be required to travel and meet customers on a regular basis throughout Ireland.
  • Other adhoc duties.

Education/Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a technical sales role.
  • Degree in Biomedical/Biology or related
  • Histology experience a distinct advantage
  • Strong skillset in solution selling.
  • Dependent on experience and to perform at this level, a degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent field required as minimum.
  • Experience in diagnostic instrumentation, software and applications is desirable.
  • Proven ability to work remotely and independently, excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise workload in an effective manner.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills required.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively around Ireland as required.
  • Full clean driving license essential.
